摘要
Detection of vanadium in food is a critical goal for humans. Herein, we use Digital Images Based Analysis (DIBA) to detect low levels of vanadium(V) without the use of any sophisticated instrumentations. The measurement depends on the reaction between vanadium and butaperazine dimaleate (BPD) in an acidic medium. The study of reagents concentrations, type and concentration of acid, complex stability, and interfering foreign ions were all used to optimize experimental conditions. Under the ideal conditions, the proposed method adopted Beer's law for 0.1–3 µg mL−1 with a molar absorptivity value of 2.8 × 105 L mol−1 cm−1, and the limit of detection is on the order of 0.027 µg mL-1. The approach was used to identify vanadium in different food samples. In comparison to other spectrophotometric methods, this proposed technique has increased sensitivity, comparable detection limit, reduced analysis time, and lower cost.
