An Intelligent Environmental Self-Healing Coating Based on Ph-Stimulated Responsive Dual Nanocontainers for Corrosion Protection of Aluminum Alloy

An intelligent environmental protection anti-corrosion coating was successfully prepared on the surface of aluminum alloy by using chitosan and mesoporous ZSM-5 molecular sieve as pH-stimulated responsive dual nanocontainers. Experimental results show that the prepared intelligent anti-corrosion coating has excellent anti-corrosion and self-healing performance. The corrosion inhibition efficiency can reach 99.98% at 36 h of static corrosion, the micro-area electrochemical impedance spectroscopy results show that the impedance value at the artificial defect continuously increases within 24 h. Its self-healing performance is produced by the joint action of oxide produced by the release of corrosion inhibitor and accumulation of corrosion products.
