Calculation of Three-phase Fault Current in Synchronverters Considering Fault ride-through Strategies

The transient fault current in virtual synchronverters during asymmetric faults would potentially damage the converter, and the flexible multi-loop and fault ride-through control strategy makes the transient process more complicated. To analyze the fault characteristics of the synchronverters, this paper investigates the calculation method of the fault current considering fault ride-through strategies. And the expressions of active and reactive fault current are obtained. Finally, the simulation verifies the correctness of the fault current calculation results.
