Ipsilateral auditory cortex responses to the intact ear after unilateral noise trauma in juvenile rats

•Monaural noise exposure was used to induce unilateral deafness in juvenile rats.•The unilateral deafness caused changes in ipsilateral auditory cortex response.•The early-onset effect showed an increase in amplitude and a decrease in threshold.•The late-onset effect showed sharp-increasing firing pattern with shortened latency.
