Abstract
•The study found that β-hCG, progesterone and IGF-1 had a synchronous decreasing trend in missed abortion.•The prognosis of fetus can be judged by the combined detection of β-hCG, progesterone and IGF-1 in early pregnancy.•Low expression of IGF-1 can stimulate reduction of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, which may affect apoptosis of trophoblasts.
