Treatment options in non-unions of the pelvis: A retrospective analysis of a single center experience over 12 years

•Pelvic non-unions are rare, the treatment however is challenging.•Interposition of autologous bone grafts and biomechanically stable implants such as an iliolumbar fusion are necessary to achieve consolidation.•It is suggested to treat these patients in specialized high level trauma centres with experience in complex pelvic surgeries.•Retrospective data analysis with a limited number of patients.•No data about pain level, function pre-/postoperatively, psychological aspects.
