Abstract
Due to the merits of high efficiency, high power density and being applicable of various control strategies, the three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors have been widely used in electric vehicles. In this paper, to meet the requirements of high reliability for motor driving system of electric vehicles, the drive system of the three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor is optimized by introducing the neutral point of the motor and invertor. Through the connection of neutral points, the fault-tolerant control of motor under phase failure operation can be realized Meanwhile, a path is provided for the third harmonic injection to improve the torque output. Finally, the simulation results verify the feasibility of the strategy by introducing the neutral line to improve the performance of the motor driving system.
