Comparative Study on Genomic Diversity of Hepatitis C Virus among High Risk Group (HRG) Individuals in the North-Eastern State of Manipur, India

Background: Manipur is said to have a high prevalence of HCV and HIV due to tremendous intravenous drug use. HCV, a blood borne pathogen, causes chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. High risk group populations such as intravenous drug users (IDUs) are susceptible to such infections.
