Higher order Haar wavelet method for vibration analysis of functionally graded beam

摘要
The study covers free vibration analysis of the axially graded beam. The higher order Haar wavelet method (HOHWM) is utilized for the solution of governing differential equation as well as for approximation of the varying properties of the bending stiffness and the distributed mass per unit length. The results are compared with the results obtained by applying widely used Haar wavelet method (HWM). Implementing higher order Haar wavelet method (HOHWM) approach for describing grading functions allow to develop generalized approach covering different grading functions and form flexible platform for further optimization.
