Seroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in Senegal: a national population-based cross-sectional survey, between October and November 2020

•The national seroprevalence of anti-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) antibodies was 28.4%.•A geographic variation in seroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies was identified within Senegal.•The prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 seropositive people was similar between those who were symptomatic and those who were asymptomatic.•No correlation was found between SARS-CoV-2 and Plasmodium seroreactivity.
