Abstract
Heavy TRAFFIC load and transmission congestion related to GOOSE/SV messages transmitted sometimes happened in process-level network of smart substation, and this may cause unpredictable problems. Theoretical analysis and research of GOOSE/SV messages transmission over process-level network is conducted in the article, and the characteristics of the network. The correctness of theoretical analysis is verified by comparing the results between OPNET simulation and theoretical analysis, and the maximum delay of GOOSE/SV message transmission at 18 bays is analyzed and quantified. Also suggestions for process-layer networking are given to be the reference of theoretical analysis foundation and basis for smart substation process-level construction.
