Ocular stem cells and aging

Stem cells of the eye are very important in regeneration of wounded or diseased areas in different parts of the eye. The process of aging and senescence brings about a change in the regenerative capacity of the stem cells involving various signaling pathways. This chapter gives an overview of the various ocular stem cells and their regenerative capacity as the process of aging occurs.
