Abstract
Patients with suspected active bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) typically undergo upper endoscopy and/or colonoscopy, depending on their presentation. However, bleeding source is not always identified via these procedures. Additionally, with the ongoing pandemic, invasive endoscopic techniques carry increasingly higher risks of viral infection transmission. Capsule endoscopy is a safe solution that can be used to examine and diagnose GIT pathologies, including actively bleeding lesions. We report a case of successful identification of bleeding source in a COVID-19 patient using capsule endoscopy.
