Abstract
The internal carotid artery is terminal branch of the communican carotid artery and runs a straight course to the base of the skull without branching. It was reported anomalies and variations in the course of the internal carotid artery in literature. These anomalies were classified as elongnation, kinking and coiling. Coiling of internal carotid artery is a rare anomaly. In our case there was a coiling. Such anomalies are known to impair hemodynamics. At the same time it is too important the morphologic differences for surgical procedures. We believe that our case will contribute to the literature.
