Abstract
Background: Numerous studies have identified various socioeconomic factors that contribute to poor surgical outcomes in otolaryngology patients. Prolonged length of stay, in particular, has been shown to be associated with poorer outcomes and increased costs of care. There remains a paucity of data addressing the effect of these factors on length of stay following transsphenoidal pituitary surgery specifically.
