Duodenal Stenting (DS) has been successfully and effectively used for palliative management of malignant gastric outlet obstruction (GOO) but it has been associated with stent obstruction from tissue/tumor ingrowth, that needs reinterventions. Endoscopic Ultrasound Guided Gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE) has emerged as a novel alternative to ES but there is lack of direct comparative data between the two modalities. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies that directly compared outcomes of EUS-GE versus ES.
