Abstract
Carbon nanotubes and graphene are two of the most widely developed carbon nanomaterials (CNMs). Magnetic nanoparticle (MNPs) are extremely important in the biomedical field, with a specific focus on their optical and magnetic properties. Therefore CNMs and MNPs can be mixed together to form CNM-MNP hybrids, providing a variety of unique, rational, and exceptionally high-quality properties for higher normal performance relative to a single material. This chapter examines the latest developments in the synthetic of these hybrids materials, in which carbon nanostructures serve as supports for particularly reactive magnetic nanoparticles. In the final section of the chapter, some medical applications of these hybrids are reviewed.
