PS convertedwave data from 2006 and 2009 are compared with pure shear-wave data from 2017 and 2019. The PS convertedwave data can under shoot the gas cloud to some extent, but do not possess enough accuracy in resolving subtle structural variations inside the gas cloud. In contrast, pure shear-wave data can resolve these features very accurately, which controls gas migration and accumulation. This leads to the success in finding extra reserves and maintaining gas production in the Sanhu gas field.
