VP38.10: The outcomes of fetal growth restriction surveillance and management when using prenatal calculators

The aim of our study was to analyse the outcomes of singleton pregnancies with FGR delivered in our private hospital during 2019-2020. During these 2 years among 4156 deliveries in total we had 52 singleton pregnancies with FGR. Cases of early FGR associated with genetic anomalies and congenital defects were not included. Prenatal calculators of Medicina Fetal Barcelona and FMF were applied for the follow-up and decision making. Among FGR pregnancies there were 18 cases of early FGR and 34 cases of late FGR. 33.3% and 38.2% pregnant women in early and late FGR groups respectively had pre-eclampsia. Regarding the gender of the fetuses, there were 1,5 times more male fetuses in early FGR group (11:7) compared to equal (17:17) sex ratio in late FGR. When using prenatal calculators of Medicina Fetal Barcelona and FMF for the surveillance and management of FGR pregnancies we had no cases of antenatal death in early FGR as well as in late FGR group. The average gestational age at delivery was 31.6 weeks in early FGR and 37.1 weeks in late FGR group. The average amount of days in NICU was 22.4 days for neonates in early FGR compared to 1.8 days for those in late FGR group. There were no cases of neonatal death in late FGR group, but 1 case of neonatal death on the 32 day of life in early FGR group. Prenatal calculators of Medicina Fetal Barcelona and FMF are convenient and reliable tools for the surveillance and management of FGR pregnancies. Medicina Fetal Barcelona prenatal calculator seems to have obvious advantage in the follow-up of FGR pregnancies, especially in cases when cCTG is unavailable, while FMF prenatal calculator seems to be superior in decision making regarding delivery. Using this approach, we had no cases of FGR antenatal mortality.
