With the increasing reliance on renewable energy sources to meet future sustainability goals, the need for new models and testing techniques are required to test and forecast battery storage capacity under different climatic conditions. The paper explores the feasibility of building a low-cost climate enclosure for the acquisition of experimental data on the discharge properties of lithium-ion batteries under different climatic conditions. The experimental results obtained using the built climate enclosure showed stability and reliability in maintaining both temperature and humidity. These results help to provide insight into future testing methods and the ability to tune existing battery models for real operating conditions and age.
