A Low RCS Sparse Antenna Array Based on Metasurface
2021 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT)(2021)
Abstract
Metasurface (MS) is a hot topic in electromagnetic research. In this letter, a low RCS (Radar Cross-Section, RCS) sparse array of metasurface is proposed to realize the integration of radiation and scattering of metasurface antenna. The metasurface antenna element adopts a cross structure patch and is fed by coaxial probe. The -10dB operating bandwidth of the antenna is 14.3% (12.63~14.58GHz) with realized gain of 15.27~16.19dBi. And the RCS reduction effect is more than 6dBsm in the 11GHz~18.9GHz (relative bandwidth is 52.8%) in-band and out-of-band. Thus, a sparse antenna array is obtained with low RCS and few cell numbers.
