A rare case of a solid odontogenic keratocyst of the mandible

Aim To introduce the reader to the rare solid odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) that is different from the classic OKC and may mimic other entities. Case report We discuss a solid OKC occurring in the body of the mandible of a 59‐year‐old female, which was treated with a local excision. Discussion The clinical, radiological and histological findings are discussed alongside the pertinent literature. Conclusion Awareness of the solid OKC should ensure appropriate work‐up and management of this rare entity.
