Abstract
Holey phosphorene (HP), a novel nano-black phosphorus, has been theoretically predicted to have broad application prospects in energy storage and catalysis. Nonetheless, the key step towards application of HP is represented by the efficient preparation and poor stability. To date, the preparation of HP is rarely reported, and the prepared HP shows poor stability. In this work, stable HP was firstly prepared with the doping of metallic Zn by a low-cost and environment-friendly low-temperature electrochemical square-wave potential exfoliation method. The obtained Zn-doped holey phosphorene (ZHP) was characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectroscopy (Raman), and ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis). The relevant results indicated the lateral dimension and thickness of ZHP are about 0.88 similar to 2 mu m and less than 1.6 nm respectively, and the pore size ranges from several to tens of nanometers.
