Prediction of waste generation through Regression Analysis Procedure

In India, the urban population accounts for about 377 million people generating 62 MT of Municipal solid wastes every year. Out of which around 43 MT of waste are adequately collected and about 11.9MT are correctly treated. However, around 31 MT of solid waste are either dumped in the landfill, water reservoirs and are mostly unaccounted. These dumped wastes in the landfill and reservoirs affect the environment, animals, species, and the people residing in those areas. Hence, a predictive system should be designed, which helps manage and foretell the country's proper waste management. This paper proposes a regression analysis procedure in predicting waste management of the country by analysing its population.
