Abstract
Modified QuEChERS and mass spectrometry were used to simultaneously analyze pesticides, veterinary drugs, and mycotoxins in feed. As a multi-class, multi-compound analysis method to analyze representative hazardous substances in feed, many comparison and optimization experiments were performed in the pretreatment and instrumental analysis conditions setting stage to simultaneously analyze several substances. The matrix effect of feed ingredients and compound feeds was confirmed, and a dilution process was added after extraction to increase on-site efficiency. Matrix-matched calibration was applied for precise quantification. In the developed analysis method, all components showed a linearity of ≥0.98, and inter-lab experiments verified the accuracy and precision. Recovery rates at three concentration levels including the LOQ of each hazardous substance in feed ingredient, compound feed for livestock, and compound feed for pets were measured in triplicate. In cross-validation between laboratories, the recovery rate was 71.33–110.17% and relative standard deviation was ≤32.40%. The developed analysis method was used to monitor 414 domestically distributed and imported feeds.
