Abstract
A virtual Game-Based Tournament of Chemistry wasdeveloped as an alternative to the traditional problem-solving classes toaid students in reviewing and understanding organic acidity and basicityconcepts. The tournament was based on a multilingual virtual board game(English, Portuguese, French, and Italian) which aimed to facilitatestudents'interaction and collaborative learning in an enjoyable activity.Thefindings showed that students who participated in the tournament hadbetter outcomes in the exams compared to those who partook in traditionalproblem-solving classes
