Patients with alcohol use disorder (AUD) exhibit deficits in reward related self-regulatory processes. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for AUD that is thought to improve these processes, though the neural mechanisms underlying the effects of CBT remain unclear.
