Petrogenesis of Neoproterozoic magmatic rocks in the Songnen Massif (northeastern China): Implications for basement composition and crustal growth

•Three episodes of Neoproterozoic magmatisms are identified in the Songnen Massif.•These Neoproterozoic granitoids formed by reworking of Paleo-Mesoproterozoic crust.•The ca. 790 Ma monzonites were formed via a magma mixing process.•Precambrian basement composition of the Songnen Massif is laterally heterogeneous.
