One-tube nested MGB Probe Real-time PCR assay for detection of Echinococcus multilocularis infection in plasma cell free DNA

•We identified some sequences which widely existed in Echinococcus infection patients’ plasma.•We developed a MGB probe real-time PCR assay to detect Echinococcus multilocularis special sequence in human plasma.•One-tube nested PCR method was utilized to increase the sensitivity and the detection limits.
