摘要
•2D ultrathin BiO(HCOO)xI1-x composites were fabricated via a facile solvothermal method.•BiO(HCOO)0.75I0.25 exhibited excellent photoactivity due to the synergistic effect of ultrathin 2D structure and hybrid composite.•Hybrid composite endowed the h+ a higher oxidation potential.•2D ultrathin structure accelerated charge carriers separated rate by reducing their migration distance.
