Resurrection of Lippia rodriguezii (Verbenaceae) an Endemic and threatened species of the grasslands of Misiones Province, Argentina

: Lippia rodriguezii (Verbenaceae) is resurrected as a distinct species after being previously placed under synonymy of L. asperrima . An updated morphological description of L . rodriguezii and a discussion on the differences between this species and L. asperrima are presented. Lippia rodriguezii is recognized as an endangered species, endemic to a narrow region of grasslands in Misiones Province, northeastern Argentina.
