Research on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Condenser in the Evaporative Cooling System of the Hydro generator

The condenser in the evaporative cooling system is a kind of heat exchanger, which determines the total pressure and the total temperature level. Due to the limitation of the location and the cost, it is necessary to improve the heat transfer coefficient to realize smaller and lightweight of the equipment. At present an effective way to improve the heat transfer capacity is to increase the heat transfer area of the outside pipe. An experiment was carried on heat transfer characteristics of the condensers, which have a common shell and three different types of heat exchange tube, and the experiment result was shown that the condenser with three-dimensional high efficiency heat exchange tube has the best heat exchange capacity.
