Design and Torque Optimization of Single-phase Hybrid Switched Reluctance Motors

摘要
The paper presents a design for optimizing torque waveform and starting torque of a novel single-phase Hybrid Switched Reluctance Motor (HSRM). The recommended HSRM features its simple but robust structure with high torque density and efficiency. The paper analyzes torque problems of HSRM, and the Finite Element Method (FEM) is adopted to optimize the motor structure parametrically. An improved model with non-uniform eccentric airgap rotor and optimized stator has a better performance on starting torque and torque ripple. Finally, the prototype motor is manufactured and its performance is verified through experiments.
