•Band structure of metamaterial dual-beam includes symmetric and antisymmetric band.•A narrow flexural bandgap can be formed below 100 Hz.•Vibration isolation effect of metamaterial dual-beam is better than CMB.•High-static-low-dynamic stiffness (HSLDS) resonator can widen the bandgap.
