摘要

•The reliability of COSMO-RS model for m-cresol-cumene system is validated.•The crucial influencing factors for DESs screening are investigated by COSMO-RS.•A systematic method of screening promising DESs as extractive solvents is proposed.•CChC:AA (1:2) and ChCl:EG (1:3) are identified as the optimum DES solvents.
