Study of milkability and associated factors in hand milked Indian Dromedary Camel

•The milkability traits were studied for hand milked Indian dromedary camel.•Average milk let-down time, milking time and milk flow rate was 8.19 s, 2.66 min. and 1.23 kg/min. respectively.•Milkability, milk yield and teat measurements differed significantly between breeds.•Kachchhi breed has highest milk yield and superior milkability performance.•Significant positive correlation between milk yield, milking time and teat measurement traits were observed.
