摘要
Since 1971, the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude (CAP) was the prerequisite to become a secondary school teacher, not including sociology subjects in this training, despite the interest defended by academics themselves. The initial training of primary and secondary school teachers was adapted in 2006 and 2007 to the European Higher Education Area, and includes the replacement of the CAP by a specific Master's degree, also for the discipline of Physical Education (PE). The aim of this study is to analyse the place and role of sociology in the training of primary and secondary PE teachers in Spain during the transitional period from the former CAP to the current Master's degree by analysing the content of the learning guides of two Madrid universities benchmarks for this training: Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM). The results show that sociology has always been present in the initial training of primary and secondary school teachers in PE, and how the Master's degree includes some content, unlike the CAP, but with different orientations according to the two universities due to their respective profiles. Sociology seems to be more present at UCM, a pioneer in its provision. The transitional period reveals an attempt to establish a specific subject in sociology of education, which was prevented by political differences.
