Abstract
Here we present a description of plastic flow macrolocalization in deformed materials as nonlinear systems continuously changing their structure on two spatiotemporal mesoscales. The kinetics of structural relaxation is described by coupled nonlinear parabolic equations with dynamic order parameters, and their solutions unveil the evolution of traveling and stationary fronts (strain localization bands) at the stages of easy slip, linear hardening, and parabolic hardening.
