摘要

•Air jet is made to impinge on metal and resin foamed flat plate.•Separation of conduction and convection effects of metal foamed flat plate is done.•Re•Prediction of the stagnation point Nu is done using order of magnitude analysis.•Metal foam enhances Nu by 1.5 times compared to smooth flat plate by conduction.•Correlations for local Nusselt number are proposed for metal foamed flat plate.
