摘要
The levels of partial resistance to wheat stripe rust disease were evaluated in ten Egyptian wheat cultivars under greenhouse and field conditions. Inoculum was accomplished using 215E240 virulent race of Pitccinia stritiformis f sp. tritici in greenhouse evaluations and mixtures of races under field conditions. Under greenhouse, cultivars Sakha 93, Sakha 94, Giza171 and Gemmiza 10 were susceptible at seedling stage. But at adult stage, they were moderately resistant to moderately susceptible, had longest latent period and lowest values of the length of stripes and infection frequency. These cultivars could be characterized as slow rusting to stripe rust. Partial resistance levels under field conditions were assessed through final rust severity (FRS), area under disease progress curve (AUDPC), relative area under disease progress curve (rAUDPC) and Relative Resistance Index (RRI) during the three growing seasons; 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21. Cultivars Sakha 93, Sakha 94, Giza171 and Gemmiza 10 exhibited partial resistance against the disease. Detection of APR gene Yr18 was done for cssfrl marker and revealed that only Sakha 94 possess this gene. These results could be exploited for the deployment of Yr18 in breeding for slow rusting in wheat.
