A comprehensive simulation of catalytic coal gasification in a pressurized jetting fluidized bed

•A one-dimensional steady-state multi-zones model was established for catalytic coal gasification.•β with value of 0.5 and α of 1.9 could well describe catalytic coal gasification performance.•The most important factors for obtaining high methane yield were bed height and catalyst loading.•More CO is consumed by water gas shift reaction than that by methanation at high QH2O.
