Abstract
The article presents a propositional point view of the current bibliography on the push technique from biomechanics. The aim of this research was to describe the push sports technique in field hockey, in order to propose bases for its biomechanical analysis through the determination of OGR, PM and OB. The following databases were reviewed; Pubmed, Google Scholar and ScienceDirect, to obtain selected articles from 2000-2020. The PRISMA (R) methodology was used; articles were included; (i) studies focused on field hockey (ii) articles that refer to the push gesture and (iii) studies written in both English and Spanish. The articles included were 5, subsequently a technical model was elaborated composed of three phases: accommodation, acceleration and monitoring, where each phase presented its mechanical purposes and biomechanical objectives, delivering an innovative strategy for the analysis of sports technique with a focus from the sport towards sports biomechanics.
