Abstract
This article evaluates the level of satisfaction of the students of the Tourism career of the Universidad Regional Autonoma de Los Andes, Ecuador regarding the accessibility of knowledge with the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching-learning process. The general objective is defined as: to demonstrate the relationship between the use of Information and Communication Technologies and the academic performance of the students of the Tourism Career of the XXX. The dimensions of Information and Communication Technologies are established as the use of the interactive platform Moodle and WhatsApp. The research presented is non-experimental, cross-sectional, has a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) and its scope is correlational, since its objective is to identify the relationships between two variables. It works with a sample of 72 students of the Tourism Career. A questionnaire is applied to evaluate the quality of the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching-learning process and academic performance is evaluated, according to the forms of evaluation developed in the career. Among the main results, the influence of the adequate use of Information and Communication Technologies in the academic performance of the students of the Tourism Career is evidenced.
