BLASTOCYST OR BLASTOMYCOSIS? A RARE CLINICAL PRESENTATION OF DISSEMINATED BLASTOMYCOSIS WITH CARDIAC INVOLVEMENT IN A PREGNANT PATIENT

Disseminated blastomycosis with cardiac manifestations is exceedingly rare. Here we present the first known case of disseminated, cardiac blastomycosis in a pregnant patient. Antifungal medications and a multidisciplinary, nonsurgical approach were successful in eradicating the fungal cardiac mass and in preventing vertical transmission to the fetus. ().
