摘要
The exclusive traditional beliefs about intellectual disability, with the passage of time, have begun to be modified towards a more open, tolerant and demystifying thinking, but it continues to be vital that society construct and adapt the context, through a philosophy of non-discrimination and respect for the right to an accessible environment, together with a change of perspective that focuses its attention on giving the importance that accessibility deserves in order to guarantee an autonomous and independent life to all. This quali-quantitative, exploratory and evaluative research aims to find out the degree of discrimination of young people towards people with intellectual disabilities, describing possible perception profiles. The results show that young people consider the degree of autonomy possessed by people with intellectual disabilities to be moderately high, beginning to glimpse a ray of hope on the horizon by showing that as their age increases, these students are more aware that the collective It has its own rights, this being of vital relevance given that the full educational inclusion of people with disabilities depends to a great extent on the positive attitudes of their school environment and the knowledge and attitudes of their peers.
