Effect of pressure change in high-speed punch hydraulic system on shear surface quality

Based on the research and analysis of the conventional high-speed punching hydraulic system, a method to reduce the pressure variation of the hydraulic cylinder using an accumulator circuit was proposed. The purpose of this method was to study the effect of pressure variation of the hydraulic cylinder on the quality of the sheared surface of the steel plate. Firstly, a detailed simulation model based on the conventional high-speed punching hydraulic system was established in the multi-domain system simulation software. The hydraulic cylinder pressure variation curve was obtained by analyzing the low-pressure oil and accumulator return. Next, a steel plate punching model was established, and the pressure change curve was imported into the model to analyze the influence of steel plate shear surface quality for two different back-punching methods of hydraulic systems. Finally, the effect of the two different back-punching methods on the quality of the sheared surface of the steel plate was verified through experiments. The simulation and experimental results show that the pressure variation of the hydraulic cylinder has a certain influence on the quality of the sheared surface.
