Exploiting active subspaces of hyperparameters for efficient high-dimensional Kriging modeling

•Low-dimensional active subspaces of the Kriging hyperparameters have been exploited.•Practical implementation for active hyperparameter estimation is presented.•The proposed Kriging modeling process is fast with trivial loss of model accuracy.
