Abstract
•A novel MnCO3/Mn3O4 nanocomposite wrapped by rGO is facilely prepared.•The graphene-wrapped MnCO3/Mn3O4 nanocomposite exhibits superior electrochemical performance as anodes for LIBs.•The synergistic effect of MnCO3/Mn3O4 nanocomposite leads to lower charge transfer resistance and inhibits the occurrence and propagation of cracks.•The surface-covered rGO improves interfacial lithium storage performance.
