摘要
The effect of time-temperature treatment of Al–Mg–Si melts on the tribological behavior of in-situ cast aluminum matrix composites Al–Mg 2 Si and the structural and morphological parameters of the friction surfaces is studied. It is shown that the time-temperature treatment of melts in rational modes leads to the refinement of inclusions of the endogenous reinforcing phase of Mg 2 Si and an increase in their total amount, contributing to an increase in the tribological characteristics of Al–Mg 2 Si aluminum matrix composites. It is established using scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive analysis that a transition layer reinforced with microparticles and nanoparticles of debris forms on the friction surface. These particles ensure a gradient of mechanical properties with depth, reducing the wear of the transition layer. A summary analysis of the regularities of changes in the morphology and elemental composition of the friction surfaces of aluminum matrix composites indicates the complex nature of wear of the friction pair with the presence of adhesive, oxidative and abrasive components.
