Abstract
In the terrorist attack, the reinforced concrete (RC) slabs of buildings are liable to be damaged, seriously affecting the safety and stability of the entire structure. To study the antiknock performance of the RC slab, one C30 ordinary concrete slab model and one C80 high-strength concrete slab model were designed and were tested under blast load. Through analyzing the experimental damage phenomenon, strain, acceleration, displacement and the piezoelectricity energy value in each explosion test based on the piezoelectric active sensing technology, it can be concluded that under the same explosion conditions, the damage degree, strain peak, deform, and displacement value of the C80 high-strength concrete slab model are smaller, indicating that the higher the concrete strength is, the stronger the explosion performance becomes; by analyzing the wavelet signal, the damage index, corresponding to the damage degree of concrete material, can be used to reveal the evolve law of explosion damage of the RC slab, indicating that the piezoelectric active seasoning technology can be used to monitor the internal damage development of the RC slab. The finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA was used to simulate the RC slabs with strength grades of C30–C80 under blast load, and they are in good agreement. It is worth noting that regional damages are the matter of interest in this study and not a damage in the whole slab. It indicates that within a certain range, the anti-explosion capacity of the RC slab can grow with the increase of the concrete grade.
